LRG has a long-established presence in the property industry, with some of its brands dating back over a century. Portico’s origins trace back to 1818 under Edmund Cude, while Leaders was founded in 1983 with a single branch in Brighton.
In 2016, Leaders, Romans, and Boyer merged, creating one of the UK’s largest property services groups. This laid the foundation for further expansion, and in 2022, Platinum Equity acquired LRG, providing the investment and support to continue strengthening our market presence.
LRG’s expansion has been driven by strategic acquisitions and organic development. Key acquisitions include Moginie James, scottfraser, The Acorn Group and Stirling Ackroyd, reinforcing our national presence and service offering.
Beyond acquisitions, growth has come from new branch openings, virtual offices, and service innovation. We also continue to expand into emerging markets, including Build to Rent, through our dedicated Three Sixty Space division, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the property sector.
