Leaders Romans Group (LRG), one of the UK’s largest property service providers, has announced the acquisition of Orchards of London and Thorgills. These acquisitions represent LRG’s further venture into the London property market following its recent acquisition of Portico, a successful 15-branch residential lettings and sales agency located across West, East and Central London.
Orchards of London is a lettings and sales business based with premises in Westgate, West London. The business has operated since 2009 and covers the Ealing, Chiswick, Acton and Shepherds Bush area.
Thorgills is a lettings and sales business based in Brentford, West London. Current owner Ben Madden established the business in 2008; since then, it has grown to become one of the top three agencies in Brentford.
Ben Madden, Director of Thorgills, comments: “After receiving significant interest from several buyers, we decided to move forward with LRG due to their impressive track record of acquiring businesses and helping them continue to grow, whilst retaining the existing culture of the business. I’m confident that the Thorgills team will thrive under new management, no doubt invigorated by just how many opportunities are now available to them.”
Paul Connolly, Group CEO of Orchards of London, comments: “The sale of the Orchards of London business will now enable me to concentrate all of my time, energy and resources on The Hogarth Property Group, in particular our property development activities via our design, build and construction company. LRG are well placed, and have exciting plans, to take the business forward in the years ahead and to continue to offer first class services to the customers and clients of the business.”
Matthew Light, Group Mergers and Acquisitions Director at LRG, adds: “We are delighted to have completed the acquisitions of both Orchards of London and Thorgills. They are great companies with knowledgeable teams who we are looking forward to welcoming into the LRG family. A key part of our strategy is to expand within London; acquiring Orchards and Thorgills will help to further strengthen our presence across the capital, following our acquisition of Gibbs Gillespie back in March and Portico last month.”
