We were proud to announce we achieved the milestone of carbon neutrality in 2022, eight years ahead of our 2030 objective – and have upheld this ever since.
At LRG, sustainability is at the heart of our operations. Our commitment to restoration and conservation projects plays a vital role in achieving carbon neutrality. By reducing emissions and implementing strategic offsetting initiatives, we demonstrate environmental leadership and corporate responsibility. This dedication earned us the Negotiator Gold Award for Sustainable Agency of the Year in 2023 and 2024. Through these efforts, we strive to set industry standards and drive positive change in the property sector.
We are committed to making our branches more sustainable through ongoing upgrades. Our initiatives include renewable energy, low-flow taps, low-VOC paints, and sustainable materials like FSC-certified wood and recyclable ceiling tiles. Beyond materials, we foster community by partnering with local businesses and supporting eco-friendly practices, driving positive change in the property sector and beyond.
Through our partnership with GreenTheUK, we've planted over 26,000 trees, sequestering 40 tonnes of carbon annually. We've restored 7 hectares of wildflower meadows, created school wildflower gardens, restored native oysters in The Solent, and helped protect red squirrels in Cumbria. These initiatives support biodiversity and educate communities on sustainability. Our staff actively volunteer, reinforcing our commitment to a greener future, and our dedicated Energy Analyst is focused on reducing energy use across our branch network.
Sustainability is at the heart of our business, even in our signage. Our "For Sale" and "To Let" boards are made from 100% recyclable polypropylene and produced using a closed-loop recycling system—old signs are collected, shredded, and reprocessed into new boards. This reduces waste, supports a circular economy, and lowers our carbon footprint, reinforcing LRG’s commitment to eco-friendly practices in the property sector.
Our restoration and conservation projects play a crucial role in our journey toward carbon neutrality.
