LRG National Lettings Managing Director, Allison Thompson, has been elected a board director of Propertymark representing the lettings divisions. The results of the vote were announced today at Propertymark’s Annual General Meeting.
Propertymark is the leading membership body for property agents. Made up of industry leaders, the Board is the driving force that agrees on the strategic direction and helps drive forward the vision and business strategy.
Allison says, “Having attended the Propertymark AGM this morning, I was delighted to have been successfully elected onto the ARLA Propertymark Board.
“I can now use this opportunity to further represent the membership and help steer Propertymark through what is going to be an interesting time, as the Renters Reform Bill comes down the tracks. I will use my experience to help shape and inform the decisions of Propertymark and hopefully add value at a time when we need to support landlords and push the importance to them of using professional agents. I am also motivated to get Propertymark duly recognised in the eyes of the public as the ATOL or ABTA of the lettings industry, and ultimately to get more customers through our doors.”
Michael Cook, Group Managing director of LRG commented, “Huge congratulations to Allison on this fantastic achievement. ARLA Propertymark has a key role to play in shaping the industry and helping create a healthier rental sector, and it is great to have LRG represented at this level. Allison has a pragmatic and considered approach and has the pre-requisite experience to do an excellent job in this role and is exactly what the industry needs.”
Allison’s initial term as a board member will last four years, after which she will have an opportunity to stand for a further term.
